Plans are being drawn up (see one potential design picture above) and we are currently receiving quotes for the costs. The projected costs are about £120,000 - £130,000 for the building plus groundworks and resources. We are hoping to accelerate our fundraising next year, alongside exploring any opportunities for grants, with a view to installing and opening the building in Autumn 2025.

Our new Discovery Learning Hub will be located next to our Community room. It will be a place during the school day for children to imagine, create and learn in a flexible and inspiring space with greater access to STEAM resources. It will bring together arts, science, practical skills and imagination in one purpose-built space.

As well as offering a unique learning opportunity for pupils, the new building will house ‘Keys Club’ a new after school club provision for children, offering quality provision for children in R-6.

We also hope that the Discovery Learning Hub become a community hub for community groups in the evenings and weekends, providing a new asset for local organisations from the creative and cultural sector.
